Despite Collecting Ten Hits, D1 Falls To Baulkham Hills

Despite the loss, D1 did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Baulkham Hills had nine hits on the way to victory

In the first inning, D1 got their offense started when Cristhian Caceres homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Gabriel Chavez was on the pitcher's mound for D1. He surrendered 12 runs on five hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Michael Harvey and Gregory Chavez entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one-third of an inning respectively.

D1 smacked one home run on the day. Caceres had a dinger in the first inning.

D1 had ten hits in the game. Adam Goodrich, Caceres, James Masters, and Scott Paulson each collected multiple hits for D1. Paulson, Masters, Caceres, and Goodrich all had two hits to lead D1. D1 stole 13 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Paulson led the way with five.

Blunden Shines At The Plate In D2 Victory Over RE

Andrew Blunden collected four hits in four at bats, as D2 defeated RE 17-4 on Saturday. Blunden singled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the second, and homered in the fourth.

D2 grabbed an early lead. D2 scored on a groundout by Mat Rickard, a groundout by Brad Cluff, a single by Andrew Collins, and a single by Kym Daniel in the first inning.

D2 notched nine runs in the second inning. D2 put the pressure on, lead by singles by Joshua Smyth, Collins, Dave Steel, and Blunden, by Peter Sorrell, and a double by Blunden.

Josh Sullivan led things off on the mound for D2. He lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out three.

D2 tallied one home run on the day. Blunden went for the long ball in the fourth inning.

D2 tallied 16 hits in the game. Blunden, Steel, Sullivan, Sorrell, Collins, and Rickard each racked up multiple hits for D2. Blunden led D2 with four hits in four at bats.
