25/11/18 - High Scoring Game Leaves D1 overtaken By West Boomers

Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but D1 fell to West Boomers 10-7 on Sunday.

In the bottom of the first inning, D1 tied things up at three when Adam Goodrich homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Josh Sullivan led things off on the mound for D1. They went five innings, allowing ten runs on 16 hits, striking out five and walking zero.

D1 tallied nine hits. Dan Draper led D1 with three hits in three at bats.

25/11/18 - D2 Clinches Lead In Third Inning To Defeat West Boomers

D2 stole the lead late in the game in a 14-8 victory over West Boomers on Sunday. The game was tied at seven with D2 batting in the bottom of the third when Ryan Groenewald singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs

D2 got things started in the first inning. Nick Franke drove in one when he doubled.D2 put up six runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by D2 was led by Andrew Blunden, Lewis Peters, and Nathan Self, all driving in runs in the inning.

Franke led things off on the hill for D2. They went two innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and walking one.

D2 launched two home run on the day. Blunden put one out in the second and third innings.

D2 tallied 17 hits in the game. Brad Cluff, Groenewald, Peter Sorrell, Franke, Kym Daniel, and Blunden all had multiple hits for D2. Groenewald and Cluff each collected three hits to lead D2. Cluff led D2 with six stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 15 stolen bases.
